From the time of the Mayans the artisan craft was considered one of the most important, since the craftsmen elaborated the outfits of senior leaders, luxury artifacts such as clothing, personal ornaments and other for ritual use. Among those funerary objects which degree of processing reflected the social status of the individual in life. Jewelry, stone carving, decorations, architecture, painting and other arts that deployed lush creativity that has been inherited and perfected by Mexican hands materializing over time the tradition and creativity.

Folk art in Mexico comes from the combination of Old Mexican artistic traditions and Spanish conceptions. And it's this mutual influence which create all the elements for artistic expression, sign of our national identity.

We were inspired to call our Gallery after the Mexican song "La Llorona" author unknown, a song about love, affection and beauty. The song describes the admiration for the desired women and the need to be at her side!
