"Perfect in every way!"

Absolute perfection, this hotel is. Earlier this year I was here for 3 days, and by the end I wished I could stay forever. If you want to stay somewhere that has character, charm, and a great location then this is for you. In town, but the beach is only a 10 minute drive and this hotel is so close to everything it's just perfect. You can walk to most shops and the taxi to the beach won't be more than 50 pesos.

Sarah and Marty are great hosts and will make as few or as many recommendations as you would like, for everything from restaurants and snacks to which tours to do to where to go and when. They really recommend the best things, so if you go, listen to them! They will also help if you need to rent a car. It's almost like you're staying with family, your home away from home.

The hotel was spotless, and you can tell they really take pride in keeping everything so clean. The air conditioner worked as well as I hoped it would, and there weren't even any mosquitoes! Beds are so comfortable, room is spacious, and it felt very safe. There was a safe in the room for valuables, and when it got dark there was a doorman outside at the gate. Safety is a big issue for me but I was never nervous once while being here. There were so many nice touches... towel animals everyday, breakfast was included (fresh juice, fruit, sweet breads), a fridge in the room. The water is purified, which is a great touch in Mexico. There was a coffeemaker too, if that is important to you like it is to me. One great thing that I heard from others is not true of every Tulum hotel is that Posada Luna del Sur has both electricity and air conditioning throughout the day and night. The hotels on the beach have both mosquito problems and don't necessarily have power and a/c all night.

There is a great little courtyard with a couple chairs you can relax in. Relax, relax, relax. No doubt that is a big reason you're looking to travel to Tulum, and everything about this hotel is relaxing. Come here, spend every day at the beach, come to the hotel for a nice warm shower, walk to town for dinner, come back and relax on your porch. There's nothing better.

On a random note, make sure you bring pesos. Dollars and credit cards are not always accepted everywhere.

But everything was just so wonderful, I can't say enough good things about the hotel or even the city in general. Make sure you see the turtles! Can't wait to go back, already working on my next trip back.
