Le Bistro is a restaurant right off the main road in Tulum where you can find some very friendly people serving high quality French fare. We were in Tulum for six nights and stopped in once each day-either for breakfast or a late dessert and coffee. They have a wide variety of coffees, cappuccinos and mixed drinks as well. My girlfriend was born and raised in Paris so she loves to have the opportunity to sit down and speak the French language with interesting people. We met the two guys who ran the restaurant, Gilles and Laurent, both originally from France and we talked for hours at times. There is a young bartender (forget his name) but he makes THE MOST AMAZING MOJITOS you will ever taste. It is surprising coming from a tiny little French restaurant but take my word for it, they are unbelievable. The coffee drinks are made fresh it is the best coffee and cappuccino you will find in Tulum. The desserts are amazing- try the crepe with nutella, very sweet after a long day in the sun. We had breakfast there one of the days, I had a bacon omelet and my girlfriend had a croissant with Nutella. Both breakfast meals were extremely fresh, prepared minutes before serving and pleasant changes to our recent Mexican diets! We loved coming here after a night on the town to sit back and enjoy a mojito, cappuccino and dessert. The restaurant is very welcoming and is a great spot to meet some great people- especially Gilles who looks like John Stamos from Full House! The guys will make you laugh and really take care of you, check the place out it is great fun!
