"Coba"

We did the Mayan Adventure which was about $100 per person and included Coba. Upon arrival a mayan native tour guide gave a brief history of the mayan cultures/coba. It was a great way to receive information and be able to ask quesitons about the specific traditions.
Coba is the only mayan ruin that you can still climb, and is the tallest in the yauchtan penisula. You had the option or walking or renting a "mexican limo" (bicycle with two seats), or renting single bicycles to view the different ruins, which is what we did and is highly recommended, We only paid a few dollars to have the people bike you to and from the entrance. There were areas to purchase drinks and snacks.
The views from the top of Coba are breath taking and so are all the different ruins. The hike to the top isn't to bad once you get started. They have a rope that you can hold onto that makes it easier. The hike is well worth the view! They also have a mayan calendar which was very interesting to be able to see. it was a great place to visit for a small cost. Worth going to for the history and beauty of the place.
