"Try the Lime and Chicken Soup!!"

During our trip in Tulum, my girlfriend and I met a couple from Boston back at the hotel who we decided to invite for a night out to dinner. Being that we had all tried the majority of restaurants recommended to us by friends or locals, we realized there was one we hadn’t tried yet, Charlie’s. The restaurant was very busy so we knew we were in for a treat. I started off with the Chicken and Lime soup and the ordered two orders of guacamole for the table. The soup was fantastic and the guac was some of the best we had tried all week. The menu was huge so it took some time to decide what exactly to order. When all was said and done we ordered enchiladas, two orders of soft chicken tacos and I personally ordered the garlic lime shrimp. My shrimp were delectable, grilled to perfection with just enough seasoning and taste. About six jumbo shrimp came in the order with beans to the side. The soft chicken tacos were as authentic as you could get and very fresh to say the least. I didn’t get to try the enchiladas but the friend who ordered them said they were excellent and he would order them again if they went back. We were so full that we didn’t have room for dessert but we all agreed- Charlie’s was a hit. The table of four was very satisfied and Charlie’s was a great place for drinks and great food. It was a fantastic atmosphere for getting to know some fellow travelers! (side note- we didn't get a chance to see the entertainment but it is supposed to be great!!)
